The Building and Zoning Department issues permits for building projects such as: new residential and commercial, alterations or additions of new and old structures (residential and commercial), excavation, electrical, mechanical, plumbing and gas. We require permits for porches, fences, roofs and windows as well.
We also handle zoning, ordinance, rezoning, resurvey, variance request for the zoning boards, tall grass and weeds complaints, junk cars and debris in yards.
Currently we forward information to our Abatement Board concerning dilapidated or unsafe structures in our area for consideration. We ask that all property owners maintain their property throughout the year.
